What Happened: Flash flooding caused serious damage throughout the Abbey and its outbuildings & grounds.

Same day mitigation response on a large scale was required to remove water, clean up, remove damaged or undamaged contents and put together a project plan to allow for the large scale works required.
Within 2 days a full clean up and decontamination process was well underway and a drying program was being instigated in various areas of the abbey.
This was a challenging project as it was during a large surge scenario putting strain on many resources available so delivering the project on time and on schedule was particularly pleasing.
The matter of main importance for the policy holder was to remain open to the public and also have the internal areas restored in time for wedding season. Managing the expectations of the clients both on the insurance side and the policy holder enabled us to have a platform to complete the project in the safest, most efficient manner.
